Welcome to the Alvirne High School Library & Media Center
Alvirne High School Library Media Center

Our mission is to ensure that all students at Alvirne High School have the opportunity to obtain and use information to the best of their ability. We will function as the information center for the whole learning community. We will provide intellectual and physical access to media (print, electronic and audio-visual) and technology for the Alvirne students and faculty. We will provide proper instruction to foster confidence and skills to obtain information. We will make our resources available to everyone by recognizing student’s social and cultural diversity, individual experiences and opinions. Intellectual freedom to explore all these resources will consistently exist for our student and faculty population. The Library Media Specialist will create a community of collaboration with the teacher and student as well as encourage life-long learning skills.
