Frequently a student might wonder about the impact of involvement on their attendance and the academic eligibility participation requirements we provide a summary of these policies below. If you have a question, you should see your administation contact.
The specific clubs and their descriptions can be found on the menu to the left.
Attendance Policy
Students involved in athletics or any school co-curricular activity must be in attendance by 8:30 AM or they will not be allowed to participate in the activity, practice, or sporting event that day. Exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances, such as, doctor/dentist appointments, illness, or death in the family and must be approved by the administration.
Academic eligibility
No student who has failed to pass in four units of work during the previous quarter shall represent the school in any interscholastic contest. This is a State requirement for all schools that belong to the NHIAA. Athletes ineligible to compete in interscholastic sports will not be permitted to practice with the team. At Alvirne High School this criteria also applies to non-athletic performances, shows, and practices.
